Steel Core / Zinc-Aluminum / Stone Coating
The benefits of Decra Shake XD begin with its tough 26 gauge steel core, designed for raw strength and lightweight performance. Next a zinc-aluminum protective coating is then applied. An acrylic base coat is applied, then stone chips are embedded into that. Last a clear acrylic overcoat is applied.
The result is one of the toughest metal shakes available, with a 50 year warranty standard.
Interlocking Design / Direct-to-Deck / Cut-N-Tuck Installation
Decra Shake XD features an interlocking system which hides all the fasteners for weathertightness. Shake XD can be installed directly over decking, eliminating the need for battens everywhere except the hips. Cut-N-Tuck technology eliminates the use for special tools.
